Natalie Zimmerman received her MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute (AFI), where she studied under Emmy award-winning writers and producers. Natalie's screenplays have received recognition in several competitions including, Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, Sundance Episodic Lab, Slamdance Screenplay Competition, and the ScreenCraft Fellowship.

After spending years working at prominent film festivals, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, AFI Fest, and the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival, Natalie worked in public relations where she produced digital content for international brands. From there she took a leap of faith and went back to school to obtain her Masters of Fine Arts.

She has worked on independent film projects with top talent, including Morgan Freeman, Robin Wright, Billy Bob Thornton, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Josh Hutcherson.

Natalie is a writing mentor with WriteGirl, a non-profit organization that promotes creativity to empower teen girls.

Natalie writes female led character-driven pieces that focus on the emotional breakdowns and breakthroughs of multi-faceted women – Because there is more than one type of woman.

Natalie lives in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time in the city as much as she does going back home to connect to her small-town roots in the Santa Maria Valley.
